Altenew Thanks and Blessings Stamps/Dies/Stencils/Embossing Folders Collection Blog Hop & Giveaway9/3/2021
Hello crafty friends! Thank you so much for joining me on this blog help celebrating Altenew's Thanks and Blessings Collection. This is a wonderful release and I have a lot of favorites. If you are following along the hop, you have just come from Therese Calvird and your next stop is Zinia Redo. If you get lost along the way, please visit the Altenew Card blog for details and the hop order.
The release supplies I used were gifted to me by Altenew to help provide some inspiration to you. As the holiday season approaches, I often think about how blessed I am. I love making and sending cards during the holiday season to give thanks to the people in my life and how they support me throughout the year. Needless to say, I give out a lot of cards at this time of the year so I used the products in the release to make holiday and thank you cards. After hopping along with all the talented Altenew designers, I hope you are feeling inspired to make some holiday and thank you cards to celebrate the blessings in your life.
Holiday Inspiration
BIRD OF THE WOODS Stamp Set
There are so many wonderful products within this release. Bird of the Woods is a delightful layered stamp set. I paired this festive bird with Majestic Mistletoe on one card and with Leaves and Berries Stencil on another to make two adorable holiday cards.
DRY BRUSH POINSETTIA Stamp, die and masking stencil set
The Dry Brush Poinsettia is my absolute favorite from the release. This is a layering stamp that makes the most beautiful and subtle poinsettia flowers. With different color combinations, you can make this flower bold and bright or soft and elegant. Within the three examples, I paired this versatile stamp set up with different products from the release. Let me know if this is on your must have list, too!
JOY TO THE WORLD TYPEFACE Stamp and die set
I am not usually one for graphic cards but this Joy to the World typeface stamp set is just so cool. In the first example I used just the main stamp, embossed it with Antique Gold embossing powder and set it against a stenciled background that was made with Classic Pine stencil A and B. The second example uses the typeface layers in Limestone, Aqualicious and Volcano inks with the main sentiment embossed in Platinum embossing powder. I set the words against an equally graphic background using shapes from Spheres and Spirals stamp set that were stamped in Mountain Mist, Dew Drops and Limestone inks. Giving Thanks Inspiration
ROSE TEA STAMP AND DIE SET
The Rose Tea Stamp has three delightful images that I am showcasing in my cards. For all these cards I used Martian Terrain, Nature Wonders and Northern Shore inks. All three of the large images from the Rose Tea Stamp set were heat embossed with Antique Gold embossing powder. I then made a series of backgrounds using stencils or watercolor to set off the images. See the captions below each project example for details. I love this stamp set because the images could be used separately or together and can be colored or not. These are the perfect images for thank you cards.
BLOCK BUILDER STENCIL
This stencil set has two different stencils that can be turned in a myriad of ways to create different looks. Here grays and teals set off Platinum embossed die cuts from All About Thanks die set. I love how a simple coloring stencil can be the focal point on a card.
