AECP Hop For the love of flowers
Hello friends! Thank you for joining me for the Altenew Educator Program Blog hop - If you are following along on the hop, you have just come from the amazing Irina Fonina from CreativeScrapbooking. The next stop on the hop is the very creative Vicki Finger from Twinkling Paper Studio. A full list of the blogs are at the end of this post. If you get lost, please go back to the Altenew Card Blog. Make sure to leave some love on the Altenew Card blog and each of the blog stops along the way for a chance to win a gift certificate to Altenew so you can pick up your favorite floral set.
Flowers have a language and can be used to send messages conveying friendship, love and support. Altenew is known for their amazing floral images. In this post, I use Altenew's floral stamp sets to build cards to convey messages of: steadfast friendship, true love and hope. Please continue reading to learn about the language of flowers and how I put together these cards.
Friendship
The AECP program was one where I have been able to connect with people who also enjoy papercrafting. I have made some great friends in the Altenew Educator Program and this is a wonderful and encouraging group. For this first project, I used Altenew Blooming Bouquet and Versatile Vases to make a lovely floral card about friendship. The flowers in this bouquet include: chrysanthemums (friendship), coral rose (friendship), ivy (friendship), violets (loyalty), Queen Anne's lace (sanctuary), goldenrod (encouragement) and eucalyptus (protection and abundance). I added the vase to ground the floral image. Given the openness of the images, I decided to use Altenew's watercolor brush markers and water brushes to color in the images because I felt I could get a nice blend of color.
Love
In addition to finding friendship, I experienced a renewed love for paper crafting through completing the AECP. Periodically I find myself in a creative rut. The Altenew Academy classes provided a lot of inspiration to restart my crafty mojo. In this project, I usedAltenew Exotic Tulips for a clean and simple look. Red tulips convey love and the Altenew Red Cosmos crisp dye inks are just the right shade of red.
Encouragement
Thank you so much for joining me on today's hop. I hope you are feeling inspired by all the great designers.

Congratulations on graduating from the Academy! All of your cards are beautiful! I probably love receiving roses the best, but I love tulips and daffodils.
